3-car Carport

Japanese aluminum carports can be customized to provide solutions for garage access.

This carport spans 26.5’ to cover 3 cars in front of an existing garage. A full sidewall has been added on the right to keep the elements at bay.

To maintain access to the original home garage, this triple carport from Japan is mounted above the garage door to avoid the need for posts. This installation required a stable attachment site and was reinforced on the inside of the garage to carry the load. Custom brackets were fabricated for this installation.

This carport style is called the LJ series. It stands out for its roof slope. Unlike a traditional Japanese aluminum carport that drains rainwater to the side, this system has a roof that slopes front to back or back to front, depending on the site. (Notice the matching gate and fence.)

The canopy of the LG carport has recently been redesigned to eliminate the traditional purlins (small metal braces between the rafters), and now this roof reveals a gorgeous open view of the sky. Except, of course, if you use a frosted panel, as in this job.
