Outdoor Classroom and Recess Canopy.

The GSS port provides a simple solution for establishing protected outdoor spaces for multiple purposes. Initially intended for vehicle coverage, it is an economical and attractive choice for schools and churches looking for outdoor shelter. The modular design allows for easy connection, enabling the creation of sizable covered areas.

This space provides a sheltered area for students to watch football or take breaks out of the rain and into the shade. The GSS can also bear heavy loads such as snow and solar panels. For this project, 2 units have been seamlessly connected, with 2 posts added in the middle.

While the roof panels are made of corrugated steel, all other profiles are made of anodized aluminum. Because of the strong roof, the GSS port can carry loads such as snow or solar panels.

The bearing beams that hold up the structure are made of aluminum. Because of the anodization fabrication process, no aluminum profile can be longer than 19 1/2 feet. Specific connectors can be installed to create a larger structure. However, wherever there is such a connection, there needs to be also a supporting post.

As with all our genuine Japanese carports, an integrated gutter system is standard.
