Floating Accordion Gate

The HGN Telescoping Accordion Gate is one-of-a-kind. This expertly engineered Japanese fold-up gate does not require a level ground or concrete slab! It can secure an opening over grass or gravel because it does not need ground support to operate. It is perhaps the easiest driveway gate to install, as it only needs two concrete footings for the posts on the left and right. 

Like all accordion gates from Japan, this collapsible driveway gate contracts into a neat stack. This stack can then be fully turned up to 180 degrees out of the way.

For additional support, there are lockdown sticks at intervals. See the image above on the right. These metal profiles are manually released when the gate is in the closed position.

The HGN accordion gate can cover a space up to 32.5 feet wide. A large double driveway gate like this will have support wheels that automatically drop down as the gate closes to support the front end of each section.

The lockdown sticks will need a stable support to be effective. If there is a slab, a drilled hole will do (above left). When you install over loose ground, you will have to get creative ;-)

Here, the HGN Accordion secures a smaller driveway. It can be an easy solution to keep kids and pets safe and prevent strangers from walking in uninvited.
