Impressive Canopy
The PJR carport system's popularity comes from its curved roof. Add the beautiful, clear, rose-tinted polycarbonate panels, and you have an amazing outdoor space that feels open to the sky while staying fully protected from rain and harmful UV rays. A traditional patio cover would have darkened all the rooms - the polycarbonate roof lets the light in while cutting out much of the heat.
The U-shaped patio area where three roofs meet is difficult to cover, especially on a single-story home. The only option will be to attach the new cover on top of the roof. Our Japanese patio covers are made out of aluminum profiles. The unit is lightweight and can be mounted on top of a residential roof. It is important to secure a strong support close to the house wall. For this project, the contractor fabricated custom brackets to fit on top of the eaves, right above, and screwed into the main rafters of the home's roof.
