KCW Committal Shelter
This large Japanese carport structure is used here at a military cemetery to shelter mourners at committal ceremonies. Cutting out 83% of heat rays, the polycarbonate panels create a comfortable space outdoors even in the heat of the day.
The port structure you see here is a PJ triple carport spanning about 26 1/2 feet across. A single unit can be as deep as 19 feet. If more depth is needed, one port unit can be seamlessly attached to the next for literally unlimited depth.
A PJ port can also be connected to a second unit sideways. In that case, the outer posts can share a footing, and the gutters are connected with specific connection profiles to render the whole parking structure rain tight. Here is such an example.
