Ramp Cover for USPS
This receiving station for the United States Postal Service needed protection for their ramp. A string of seamlessly connected cantilever carports projects out 10 feet - enough to cover the back end of the postal vehicles, and to keep the workers dry when loading and unloading.
The PJR carport from Japan is the most popular carport style to date. It has been widely used for homes and businesses. The system can be expanded into double and triple ports, with widths up to 26 ½ feet. As a prefabricated aluminum carport system, it offers many options to extend the length dimension seamlessly, as shown in the project for the United States Postal Service above.
This loading dock cover consists of three cantilever carports, each with two posts. They are connected by internal connectors, making the entire structure completely watertight. The overall length of this cover over the ramp is about 57 feet.
