The customer chose an MLR port because it can reverse its roof slant for better protection from the sun and rain. To ensure the patio cover space is watertight, the owner of this single-story home decided to install the posts through the eaves. There were also solar panels in the way.

When you cover an outdoor space with a roof, especially in a warm climate like California or Texas, you will create an extra living room outdoors. The patio furniture can stay outdoors year-round. Just covering a space will keep the moisture away, and even the cushions can stay.
