36’ Patio Canopy

Due to the anodization process for aluminum profiles, the maximum length of any rafter is about 19 feet. The project below shows an installation that joins two of those long-profile REVOLU patio covers to form a larger canopy.

Instead of attaching to a house wall, the two patio covers are attached to a wooden bearing beam in the middle. Here, 2×18 feet create a patio roof 36 feet deep by 15 feet wide. TFNA-18.15-x2 (WH)

Because all the profiles of a Japanese aluminum patio cover are screwed together rather than welded, you can adjust each part to fit as needed. As long as you can provide a safe and stable attachment site, these modern outdoor covers from Japan can be attached to almost anything.

The roof panel featured in this project is the light blue-tint polycarbonate. Just like a pair of sunglasses, it adds a slight blue tint to the sky, and it's hardly noticeable. However, if you look down, you would see the shade it creates. 100% UV ray protection is standard on all our Japanese outdoor roof systems.
