Roof Mounted Patio Cover
Most custom installations raise the question of how to attach the unit to the existing building. For a single-story house, the rooflines are usually too low to attach the unit beneath the eaves. Because a profile aluminum roof structure is lightweight, you can attach a patio cover on top of the roof. For this project, the installer even used remnant polycarbonate panels to close a space between the slanted house roof and the new patio cover!
The above patio roof is a TFNA cover, one of the 4 roof styles in the REVOLU System. It has straight rafters with posts at the gutter beam. For polycarbonate panels, the customer chose a clear panel for an unobstructed view of the sky. Even if you can hardly see it, this panel has a light tint that cuts down on heat and blocks all UV rays.
The outdoor space is now protected from the elements and can be enjoyed anytime, day or night, rain or shine.
