RSC Entrance Canopy

This beautiful canopy shelters the entrance to a hotel. It has been installed extra high with custom footings to ensure clearance for delivery trucks. Originally designed as a carport, this entrance cover is a double-wide carport from the RSC Series. This car cover is one of Japan's most stylish modern carports. Its roof cantilevers forward, and the support posts are set back on the sides, so access and egress are dramatically improved compared to a regular 4-post carport.

As shown above, the new owner created extra-tall concrete footings by embedding the posts in strong, rebar-reinforced footings. When you customize a prefabricated carport installation, be sure to check with a structural engineer!
