Detached Patio Cover

The LG port makes a beautiful patio cover. The gorgeous canopy keeps the sky open to the view and the light for the adjacent living room bright. Three different post height choices give you the option to float the patio roof above an existing eve or tuck it underneath, like this homeowner did. This modern garden canopy now fully protects the patio space without the need for new patio roof to be attached to the building.

While most modern aluminum carports from Japan drain rain to the post sides, the LJ-Port’s roof slopes from back to front. This creates a beautiful patio canopy with an open look to the sky. Recently, this carport was redesigned, and the typical purlins that support polycarbonate panels from below have been eliminated by smart engineering.

This is an image of the old LJ port roof, that still shows the purlins, the small aluminum profiles between the main rafters, supporting the polycarbonate roof panels.
