Versatile Backyard Canopy

This tight backyard corner would be very hard to cover with anything other than the versatile LJ port. The pre-fabricated port system has options to move the posts along its bearing beams. In this example, the recessed posts on the left side help the canopy pass setback requirements (5’ from property line to post) while covering the maximum space with the canopy (2.5’ from property line to eve.) All LJ ports are supported by large bearing beams carrying the roof structure. These beams are not at the end of the roof but recessed back from the front and backend. This creates a cantilever edge about 2 feet deep on both sides. The advantage of this is that you now can over or underlap a house eave to create rain protection without having to touch the roof of the original house.
