Prefab carports can be configured as winged ports with posts only in the middle for better access all around

Japanese-style carports have many uses beyond covering cars. Here's the PJR carport, the most popular Japanese aluminum carport worldwide. Its curved roof gives it a modern appeal. Single, double, and triple carports are available, and you can create a "winged" port as shown here today.

For the above school pickup area, 4 units create a watertight roof of about 22' x 40' with all posts out of the way of traffic. (*Project by New Zealand Distributor Mark.)

For an even larger expansion, you can "wing" two double or triple ports like the above project demonstrates. For length, you can add one carport unit to another for unlimited extension. Above, you see two extended double PJW carports creating a covered area ~ 40' wide x 33' deep. Two PJT triple ports connected can cover 52 feet across.
