The KWC carport has a roof reaching out over 18 feet. The large canopy is equipped with three hurricane anchors. They rest attached to the posts and are employed only when heavy wind is in the forecast. 3 anchor-brackets are secured in concrete footings, flush with the ground to avoid tripping hazards.
