Telescoping Accordion Gate
This Japanese accordion gate can float across a driveway without casters to close up spaces as wide as 40 feet (double gate.) As it expands, it releases a wheel to support the front end. Sturdy lockdown sticks can be released at intervals to secure the gates in the closed position.
All Japanese accordion gates are equipped with a secure lock and key.
This folding gate is 4 feet and 7 inches tall. Here you see the customer, releasing the lockdown sticks to stabilize the gate in the closed position.

An accordion gate retracts into a small stack. This stack can turn around the post completely out of the way; however, for this installation, that was not possible. Because of the slope in the driveway, it cannot turn inward, and you are not allowed to turn into a sidewalk. Therefore, the gate can only stack up left and right.
