Push-Pull RJNT-Double
And here is the most popular handle style, RJNT, on a double gate. Depending on the gate panel's swing, you either push or pull the handle to open it.
If the gate is locked from the outside, you will need to use a key. From the inside, all you have to do is move the thumb turn. See the picture below.
The thumb turn is meant for convenience. You can easily lock and unlock the gate from both sides without ever needing a key if you have a low gate like this one. This one is specifically there to keep the dogs in check. If you were super concerned about intruders, you probably would not want a thumb turn on a short gate like this because you can just reach over to open it. But that is exactly what the customer wanted for his own convenience. Also, who actually knows how the gate looks on the backside?
The Japanese aluminum outdoor gate will arrive as a complete kit, and each lock will include three keys. These are dimple-keys that can only be duplicated in Japan. If you need duplicates, you can request them from KunkelWorks USA, and we will have them made for you in Japan.
This gate is locked. You can tell by the position of the thumb turn on the left.
Here is a side view of an open gate panel, showing the handle from both sides.
