Carport in Front of Garage

This project features an LJ carport spanning over 26 1/2 feet. The large bearing beams have been attached with custom-fabricated brackets over the garage door, keeping access to the original house garage unobstructed. This triple-car cover from Japan also features a full side wall on the right. All prefabricated Japanese carports offer side-wall options. Look closely; there is also a beautiful matching entry gate and fence at the back of the carport.

This project shows the versatility of our Japanese aluminum carports. The support posts on the left side of the carport have been replaced with custom-fabricated wall-mounting brackets.

This has solved a problem - how to cover cars in front of a garage door without restricting access to the garage.

The custom installation of this carport now keeps the full width of the home’s garage door accessible. 3 cars can park in front of the garage and be protected from the elements.
