Wall-mounted Carport
Here you see the popular carport PJR mounted on the left and right walls. Because of the curved roof shape, the width of this port cannot be shortened. Therefore, custom-fabricated mounting brackets had to be installed to secure the carport and ensure the car cover fits within the preexisting, limited space. The straight-roof LJ port would have been an easier choice, but the owner really loved the rounded roof shape of the PJR.
Because all of our modern Japanese aluminum carports are made of aluminum profiles that are screwed together, each profile can be shortened and the size of a cover can be reduced to fit a specific site. So, theoretically, this car cover could have been shortened in width to fit within these walls; however, shortening a curved profile is much more difficult than shortening a straight one. Ensuring this rounded roof remains 100% rain-tight is better left in its original shape. The customization to create anchored support for the posts on the sides was the better solution.
