Port as Walkway-Cover

Japanese cantilever carports provide a practical way to create walkway covers, especially for single-story homes. With posts on only one side, this cover can cantilever over the home's low eaves, protecting the walkway and back door without encroaching on the roof. This walkway canopy is part of the ELN-Carport Series.

The specialty of this Japanese aluminum port is the curved roof that slopes down on the post side, creating a sort of side panel.

The posts have been installed behind the retaining wall and are fully out of the way of foot traffic. This walkway cover is truly independent of the house but fully capable of protecting the entire backside of the home. Located in a very rainy area, the walkway behind the house, which also connects to the garage, is protected from rain and debris for good.
