The maximum depth for an aluminum profile patio cover is 20 feet. For this project two large patio covers were attached to a big existing wooden beam to create a gable patio roof 40 feet across. Prefabricated aluminum profile covers are screwed together, not welded. This is why they can be custom fitted for almost any situation.
