Gate With Wall-Hinges

To keep a gate opening as wide as possible, wall hinges can replace posts. Here the CMU walls provided good attachment opportunities. On the hinge side, wall-hinges are installed into the wall and on the other side, a receiving cup for the lock is also recessed into the wall. Without the posts left and right, the opening is about 7 inches wider than it would be with the posts installed.
