Outward Opening Gates

This installation gives us a close look at all the items needed to make a Japanese modern aluminum gate open outward. First is the hinge extension which allows the panel to swing forward while the hinges are still attached to the backside of the post for security. Then there is the gate panel stopper that prevents the panel from swinging inward. Lastly, a small steel plate is attached to the receiving post to prevent the striker from scratching the aluminum post.
