Shelter for Pickup-Area

Ensuring schoolchildren are protected from the elements while waiting for their parents to pick them up is an important concern for any school. The prefab aluminum car covers from Japan are a perfect solution.

Adding two cantilever carports with posts sharing a footing creates a winged carport. In the picture above, you can see three of these winged ports in a row. To build this large cover, six separate carport units were combined into one big structure, spanning about 20 feet wide and 50 feet deep. PJ-Details-pdf.

Front view of this curb-side shelter. The different port units are connected with specific profiles and connectors to ensure they are completely rainproof.
